Keeping the Colorado Wedding Industry in Scope

Small Businesses Offer Flexibility January 8, 2010

Recently I’ve spoken with a number of brides who are looking for ways to spend repsonsibly while still sticking with the frills. There are a number of ways to get all the gorgeous details without spending over your budget.

One way to do this is by working with smaller companies. Businesses with little overhead won’t need to pass on the cost to their clients. Working with an individual or small business also affords you more personal and focused interaction. These businesses are usually able to more freely negotiate time and dollars.

There a many other ways to reduce the overall cost of your wedding without reducing your guest number. Keri would be happy to share some additional trade secrets with you when you book our day-of coordination services.

I recently joined Bliss Bridal Shoes (www.blissbridalshoes.com) as a sales representative for Colorado. These shoes are beautiful, well crafted and made with a most gorgeous brushed-suede bottom. If there’s a boutique here in Colorado that is interested in seeing these shoes for themselves, I’d be happy to bring some samples for you to ohh and ahh over. They’re stunning and priced just right! The media has been all over these shoes for the past year and with some new styles coming out in early 2010 they’re sure to be desired by brides across the states.

Night On The Town November 20, 2009

Just got back from a very fun evening with Janine Schmenk and Kerri Butler, two of Denver’s top wedding industry talents. After checking out the great jewelry by Sam & Goldie and other brilliant goodies at The Perfect Petal, we headed over to a sushi bar. Many a story was shared – some bloody hilarious, some rather unfortunate!

Thanks for a fantastic night out, Justin, Janine, Kerri and Brooke. Let’s do it again soon!

Hello world! November 17, 2009

I’ve decided it’s about time I got my act together and began blogging as there’s so much happening in the Colorado wedding industry that I’ve had the joy of participating in of late.

The anna be Pops the Tops event in Denver last week.  The retail space is absolutely lovely and spacious.  Anna and Breanna are charming. And, the dresses, jewelry and headpieces are spectacular.  I had a great time and met some really wonderful and fun vendors.

On that note, I’m thrilled to say that I’m going to be meeting up with super-adorable Janine Schmenk who is an up and coming makeup artist in the Denver area on Thursday.  We’re going to attend The Perfect Petal’s Third Thursday night shin dig and check out some jewelry.  Janine is a doll and I’m looking forward to hanging out with her and Justin.

I’m excited to be on this path of journaling and appreciate your interest in reading it!
